Although the shopping center Iso Omena with its great offering of shops and activities is right around the corner, it’s also very easy to reach Helsinki’s shops, attractions and events with metro. Länsimetro brings you straight from Helsinki city center to Hotel Matts’ door along with the large network of buses and trains around the Helsinki metropolitan area.
For hikers and backpackers, the most popular destination in Espoo is definitely the Nuuksio National Park with its multiple trail options of different lengths within the beautiful Finnish nature.
The national park offers versatile nature paths for families as well as more demanding hikers’ needs. Furthermore, Finnish Nature Centre Haltia is situated adjacent to Nuuksio and makes for a perfect activity for the whole family as it’s easily accessible, has beautiful exhibitions, a lookout point, and a restaurant!
Active holiday in Espoo
Espoo offers interesting destinations and routes to explore by bike. Enjoy your day with the whole family by making a biking trip with city bikes to Nokkalan Majakka, from where it is possible to continue the journey through Espoo Waterfront Walkway which follows along the beautiful coast of Espoo.
The city bike stop is located right outside Hotel Matts and our reception staff is happy to help you get started! We also have a storage room, where you may park your own bike safely during your stay.
