Restaurant & Bar Freja
Relaxed restaurant Freja is situated at the street level of Hotel Matts. Nearby are also other amenities of the shopping mall Iso Omena and Matinkylä. In the summertime, the restaurant extends to the courtyard terrace.
The passing bus routes and Matinkylä metro station make Restaurant Freja easy to reach, even from further away. We offer parking in the hotel car park and four hours of free parking for Freja’s guests.
Restaurant Freja offers a versatile breakfast, à la carte, brunch, and bar menu. In the evenings the restaurant offers taste sensations to the hotel guests and other customers. Our kitchen offers an inventive and diverse menu that uses the seasons as a guide. Emphasis is on the local food producers; the restaurant even has its charcoal grill. The restaurant always caters to vegetarians and vegans.

Start your morning leisurely with breakfast. The Hotel Matts’s breakfast is delicious and versatile, everything you need to get your day to a good start! The breakfast is served at the 190-seat street-level Restaurant Freja. For the guests staying in Hotel Matts and the hotel apartments, breakfast is included but anyone can come to enjoy the delicacies.

The brunch is served on Saturdays from 12 noon to 3 pm.
Lunch buffet on weekdays
Freja’s lunch buffet serves a seasonally changing salad table, soup, and a high-quality warm main course buffet.
Lunch is served on weekdays from 11 am to 2 pm.
Easy going à la carte
Freja’s à la carte menu takes us on a delicious journey through the familiar and less known flavors made of the ingredients of the season. The à la carte menu includes delicious alternatives to vegetarians and vegans. Some of the dishes are cooked in the charcoal grill at the restaurant to bring even more flavor to your plate.
For a quick bite, you can have a burger or a salad and for longer evenings, why not try a three-course menu. Restaurant Freja welcomes you for a high-class but also relaxed meal. Kids can also fill their tummies from this menu!
Bar
In Freja’s atmospheric bar you can enjoy hot and cold drinks as well as a little salty snack. Our bartenders conjure up the best cocktails of the season – also as non-alcoholic versions.
